Use sensor data with Siril
Siril-specific downloads include compatible original sensor JSON files and documented manufacturer absolute QE curves. Exact-camera QE files represent that camera's effective detection efficiency, including its documented optical configuration; they are not generic shared-chip profiles. Check each record for the exact file and its scope.
Import a device file
- Download the Siril JSON and its export metadata from the selected measurement.
- Copy the device JSON to
siril-spcc-database/mono_sensorsfor mono, orsiril-spcc-database/osc_sensorsfor RGB. On Windows the database is in%LOCALAPPDATA%; on Linux use the user data directory, normally~/.local/share; on macOS use~/Library/Application Support. - Restart Siril, open SPCC and choose the exact model printed in the downloaded JSON. Do not add a filter or window already included in the source response.
Missing wavelength coverage remains missing. The file does not extrapolate response below or above the source range. Follow the official Siril SPCC documentation for calibration settings.
Camera response is not sensor QE
A camera-system profile can include the sensor, color filter array, infrared blocking filter, optics, or other components. When its scope or physical units are unknown, it cannot safely be relabeled as sensor QE or used as a sensor-only file. Use the native CSV and provenance JSON to inspect those samples; they do not make the profile suitable for Siril's sensor-correction workflow.
File import checks do not establish SPCC calibration accuracy on images. Preserve the source attribution and follow its documented license. An unknown license or permission status does not document reuse permission.
